Just Another Saturday
I haven't been so excited to read a book in such a long time that I just had to tell you all about it. If you still haven't read this book, you have to read
it. It's awesome! It's a young adult book and it won't improve your intellect but it is great fun. Believe me, if I can stay up reading this book even after practically having a week of sleepless nights staying up with two sick children you can bet it is good. It's like I don't even want to finish it because I won't be able to read it anymore. I'm glad it's just the first of three books.
On a different note, today I went to the temple with my mom and I drove to Dallas and didn't get lost. That is quite an accomplishment for me. It was fun going to the temple with my mom. Then we went to the church bookstore and out to eat. By the way, why do they price those beautiful paintings of Jesus so high? I really want one but they make it seem impossible. Jokingly, my husband said that it was just their way of reminding us that we are not wealthy. Mission accomplished and not nice!
And finally, I'm trying to understand why people get hamsters for pets. They sleep all day and make a racket all night working out on their little wheels. Weird!!
I know this post is all over the place in thoughts but sometimes I just feel like rambling

Too Sick
My husband and I were going to go to Six Flags to celebrate our 7 year anniversary but everyone in our house is sick. W and D have it the worst though. They are really having a hard time with this cold and Nana and I keep drinking Theraflu hoping it will go away soon. This is our third day sick and we are all getting tired of being sick. We hope we don't get Beto sick. Well, we didn't end up going to Six Flags but instead we went to Borders and a movie. I loved the movie and it was fun going without our children. Little D is not fun at the movies. It wasn't Six Flags, but it was still fun. I hope we all get better soon so we can take Nana sight seeing.

First Tooth

It's official!!! My little one lost her first tooth last Saturday. She is growing up so fast. The day she lost it she was so excited and told me that she believed in the Tooth Fairy, in Santa Claus, and in Jesus. In fact she said that she believed in everything. She is so cute. I don't think Jesus should be in the same category as the other two, but she said it with such conviction. It made me smile. :)
Happy Birthday!!
These pictures show my sister and I many moons ago. Today is her birthday. She was my Christmas present when I was 4.
She's had a pretty hard year. Probably the hardest year of her life and just two days ago she got really bad news. But I want her to know that I love her with all my heart and that I pray with all my heart that this next year will be better. She truly deserves to be happy. I've always loved her more than a sister should love but I've always felt such a huge responsibility for her safety and happiness. We share a special bond. We are very different in every way, physically, emotionally, and personality wise, but she is the one person in the world that completely understands me and knows what I'm talking about when I talk about my childhood. It's no wonder I named my little girl after her. Happy Birthday Wendy!!!
Seven Years
On December 23rd we celebrated 7 years of marriage. It landed on a
Sunday and so we will be celebrating it by going on a date to Six Flags the day after Christmas. They have a Holiday in the Park thing during the Christmas season. I will post pictures after we go. I can't believe we've been married for seven years already. I still remember the first day I met my Dear. I knew that he was a special person. I love him very much and I know that he loves me. He always makes me feel like I am the most beautiful, and smartest woman in the world. He's the love of my life and my best friend. I am so proud of him and there is no one that I admire more than him.

W found a fun little dance partner to dance the night away.
Dad and little D were never far away. They kept a close eye on her.

Some more rocking.
W was a little hesitant to rock at first.
The priesthood sang Christmas carols.

A Tale of Two Buses

Note to self and anyone else who wants to listen:Never, I repeat never, make a model bus out of play-doh to turn in as your child's second project of the year. When we woke up this morning, it was falling apart and cracking. It seemed like a completely different bus. Thus the tale of two buses. Maybe if I show her teacher these pictures, she'll see how cute it looked before the cracking incident and how hard "W" worked on it. :)

Too Many Questions

Little W has been bombarding me with questions, which I find quite amusing. On Sunday she asked how Jesus got into Mary's tummy, and after explaining it a bit, she asked how she got into my tummy. Now that one was a bit harder. Who knew explaining the birth of Jesus would be easier than explaining how she was born? I did the best I could and hopefully it will be enough for a couple more years. Then she asked if Santa was the king of the North Pole and why was his tummy so big. It's good to know she is still a little kid. :)
